Lions are naturly wild animals.

people catch them and put them in zoos, many zoos conditions are terrible with cramped enclosures. many zoos are so bad, they have to sleep in there own dung.

Those are the best because it gives all the animals lots of space and food

Poor things

lions may look feirce annd strong, they are also hunted while they are enjoying their own lives.

the lion were hunted because they use to hunt farmers stock. So the farmers would have a shot gun and shot the lions when they came near their farm lands. There also was the problem of people who hunted lions for the fun of it they would go out and hunt for the lions and then shot them and skin them and leave the reast to rot. Or they would take the whole lion and sell the meat and get the body stuffed so they could have them as a trophy. (how sad)

Sleepy head

Although lions may look very active, they are just like any other cat.

lions spend most of the day sleeping, they will find any tree or shade to rest or have a cat nap.

lions sleep up to 21 houres a day.

like this lion in the picture above, lions do enjoy a little sleep every now and then.

Cubs and their growing

Although cubs may look cute and cuddly, they will grow up to be just like their mum and dad.

When cubs are playing they look like they are fighting, there just learning life skills and how to defend themselvs.

A lion will start life as a cub

many animal lovers will think they would just love to cuddle them. However if there mum caught you anywere near them, you will be in deffinate big trouble.
